Regulator sort: model results vs reference labels
182 YC Fall 2026 startups from Firecrawl Alexandria. Each model names the one Indian sector regulator a company would mainly answer to if it sold in India. Green matches the reference label, red does not. Hover over any answer for the model's reason, or over a reference label for the rationale.
Reference labels are a draft. An AI assistant labelled them from YC data alone, following a written rubric, before seeing any model's answer. They have not yet been reviewed by an Indian regulatory expert, and the labeller is itself a language model, so it may share blind spots with the models tested.
Scores
Macro-F1 averages the score across categories, so the rare regulated ones count as much as "DPDP only". The 95% range comes from resampling companies; where two models' ranges overlap, the gap between them is not reliable.

How this was run
How each model was called, how the answer key was written, how the prompt was chosen, and what this test can’t tell you are all on the race page’s How it works view. Models here are ordered by held-out macro-F1, and the best value in each score column is bold and underlined.
